You do not need to memorize the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches before trying FateWay. A more useful starting point is to check your birth details and bring one specific question to the workspace. That gives you something concrete to read and discuss, rather than asking for a complete verdict on your life. This guide covers the information to prepare, the sign-in handoff, and the first reading conversation.

Prepare the details you know, and mark what you do not
FateWay creates a BaZi chart from birth information and provides AI-assisted interpretations. The starting information therefore deserves a careful check. A family recollection can be a useful lead, but “probably in the morning” does not have the same certainty as a record showing 09:35.
| Detail | What to check before entering it |
|---|---|
| Birth date | Whether the original date uses the Gregorian or Chinese lunar calendar; avoid converting it yourself and then selecting the wrong calendar |
| Lunar leap month | If you use a lunar date, confirm whether it is a leap month |
| Birth time | Enter the recorded hour and minute when known; use the unknown-time option when you do not know |
| Birthplace | Search for the location and select the matching result, rather than leaving unselected text in the search field |
| Gender and chart name | Choose the available form option that applies and give the chart a recognizable name; a nickname can help you distinguish saved profiles |

Also check the time basis. The form distinguishes local civil time from true solar time, while the selected birthplace supplies relevant geographic and time information. Keep your initial version consistent with the records you have. Changing details repeatedly to obtain a more appealing interpretation makes it harder to know what information the chart actually represents.
Open the workspace and complete sign-in
The action button in this article leads to the existing registration or sign-in flow. If you already have an active session, you can continue to the workspace. Use one of the methods actually offered on the page; availability can differ by region and configuration. Birth information belongs in the chart form, not in your sign-in credentials.
In the workspace, find the control for entering birth details. Give the chart a name you will recognize, then check the date, calendar, time and birthplace. Distinct names are especially useful when you keep profiles for more than one person: before interpreting anything, you should be able to tell whose details are selected.
Review the form before confirming and saving. Check the year and month, lunar leap-month setting when applicable, and the recorded time. After saving, check the birth-information summary; if something is wrong, use the editing options currently available in the interface. A mistaken field can change the input without being obvious later. At this stage, the task is to save a chart that corresponds to the information you intended to enter. A personality interpretation is a later step.
If the birth time is unknown, keep it unknown
“Around lunchtime” is not a reason to enter noon as a precise recorded time. Choose the unknown-time option instead. Follow the workspace prompts to organize a few important experiences with dates. The current workflow can use those details to suggest candidate intervals for you to consider and check.
Useful descriptions say when something happened, what happened and what changed. For example, this invented set of notes gives a clearer timeline than a long account with no dates:
In autumn 2015, I left my hometown to study in another city for the first time.
In summer 2019, I started my first full-time job. The work involved more coordination with other people than the projects I had done alone.
In early 2023, I moved cities for work, changing both my living arrangements and my commute.
You do not need to supply other people's names, exact financial amounts or identifying documents to describe these events. Clear timing and concrete changes are more relevant than unrelated personal detail. A suggested interval remains an inference to check, not a replacement for a birth record. Keeping uncertainty visible is preferable to turning a guess into a precise-looking input.
Read the conditions before starting a reading
Saving birth details does not mean that every report has already been generated or that every action is free. The workspace shows the experience, report level or entitlement available to the current account. Before confirming a full report or another operation, read the conditions displayed for that action.
If an introductory summary is offered, you can read it first. Check that the information is yours and that the interpretation addresses the question you wanted to explore. Then decide whether to continue. If a control is unavailable, review the explanation and the completeness of your details; an unavailable control does not automatically mean that purchasing more credits will resolve the issue.
FateWay offers a traditional interpretive perspective for reflection. For consequential choices about work, relationships or other parts of life, consider current circumstances and reliable information as well. A statement in a reading should not be treated as proof that an event happened or that a future outcome is certain.
Give your first question a specific situation
Once the details are settled, start with something that has happened repeatedly or that you can describe clearly. A question with context gives the conversation more to work with than “What should I do with my life?” You might adapt this example:
In team projects, I often volunteer to coordinate the work, but that also
interrupts the tasks I need to finish myself.
Using this chart, explain how you interpret my way of handling situations.
Keep the traditional interpretation separate from the experience I have
described. Which claims need more examples, and what could I observe to
check whether the interpretation fits my actual circumstances?
This is a suggested question, not a prediction of the answer you will receive. You can replace the situation with a conversation with a friend, a recurring disagreement or the way you organize daily responsibilities. Choose something you can remember, clarify and compare with another example.
If the response is too general, ask which part of the chart or your account supports it and what other explanation could fit. The purpose of a follow-up is to understand the reasoning, not simply to accumulate flattering or worrying labels.
Bring one question to your first reading
Check your birth details, then explore one real situation. FateWay offers AI-assisted BaZi interpretations and follow-up conversations around your chart.
Start my FateWay readingSign in, add birth details and review the conditions shown before a reading.
Continue with the same saved information next time
After signing in to the same account again, you can open a saved chart and its corresponding conversation, revisit earlier interpretations and describe what has changed. Check the selected person before continuing, particularly if you have several profiles.
For the next step, see the guide to reading a report and asking follow-up questions. If you are not ready for a reading, checking your date, calendar and the source of your birth time is already a useful place to begin.
